Upgrading the bicycle parking and fitness center change room facilities

What we did

Bike parking: We designed one secure facility (instead of 10) to sit within an ideal location for both rider and driver access.

Design features: We included a mix of vertical and horizontal parking, surrounded by sustainable hardwood timber fencing.

Service station: This one included a DIY repair station and pump for easy bike servicing.

Change rooms: With Maximus lockers, bench seating and shoe storage, we changed the existing space into a functioning oasis.

More with less: With less space (we saved 15 car parks), we turned 46 bike spots into 96 and got more people on two wheels.

Through your guidance and work at One Main Place, we improved our bike facilities from a lackluster, poorly planned, sporadic 46 to a professionally planned bike concept for 96. The new bike room has been a huge hit with our tenant base and it has been a pleasure to show this facility to competing building managers. We have a certain amount of “bike room envy” now in our market and this amenity is a key piece of regular leasing tours. I honestly believe we will outgrow it soon and need to start planning the next phase with you. Thank you to Five at Heart for a successful and professional install of our bike amenity.
